Crowy's Vlog- German Trip June 2019

In this months instalment of Crowy’s Vlog, Simon made a long road trip to fish a pressured gravel pit which is home to some lovely old carp. He is joined by his long-time friend Christian Finkelde and big fish expert Nermin Caro, as they share some good times and catch carp to nearly 60lb. You’ll also witness a near miss for Christian as his rods are smashed by a falling tree during a violent storm, moments after landing a giant mirror. You’ll also hear Simon’s views on big fish baits and whether or not he believes they exist. There’s plenty more tactical talk and playing action, and it finishes with a special moment shared by two friends with one passion on the 75th anniversary of DDay.

Crowy's Vlog- Lac d'Orient adventure

What was supposed to be a week-long trip turned into an eleven-day session when Simons hard efforts paid off and he finally found some fish at the daunting Lac d’Orient in Central France.
The weather was unkind for most of the trip, making it tricky to locate carp in the 6000 acres of water. However, Simons persistence paid off in the end.
The blog features enduring weather and the demanding nature of tackling such a big piece of water, as well as carp playing action, tackle and tactics used and general banter with German big fish expert Christian Finkelde.

It hasn’t been on the bank for two years, but luck is on Simon’s side when it trips up at 9am on the 16th April.
Weighing in at a lake record 53lb 4oz, it is without a doubt one of the finest carp of Simon’s career.

Avid Carp- Lok Down bankware with Ian Russell & Simon Crow

Ian Russell & Simon Crow explain to us just why the new range of Lok Down Bankware is so unique.
The Lok Down bankware range offers the user a brand-new type of Cam system, stronger and more durable than any other.
The Cam works unlike any other on the market by applying pressure to the entire inner surface. The Lok Down Cam also has an internal rubber collar which increases grip strength when the Cam is locked down.
The Lok Down Cam is unlike any other.
All other Cam systems and screws only apply pressure to one small part of the inner tube.
The Lok Down Cam works by applying even pressure to the whole inner tube, giving a much stronger grip.
We’ve also added a rubber gasket to the Cam which increases grip even more!
